On Australia Day Barbara received a Medal of the Order of Australia, for service to the community, work as a magistrate and through her involvement with organisations promoting the welfare and rights of children.
This is a website devoted to a very special woman- constructed by those who think she has something very special to offer to anyone who has anything to do with chiildren.
Barbara was a Children's Court Magistrate for many years, and gave up her career on the Bench to devote her life to helping children and assisting thoes who care for them.
She has written three best-selling books; Those Tracks on My Face, Kids- Loving for Life and The Good, the Bad and the Inevitable. She has also appeared on many television and radio shows, and has counselled and helped many thousands of people.
We invite you to explore this website, read selected material from the books and find out a bit more about Barbara.
As you will see her books are not boring or dry- although, especially in Kids- there is plenty of scientific analysis to support her advice and observations.
